Lionel Garcin, born in 1972, studied saxophone at the Conservatoire in Avignon and won the first edition of the Tremplin Jazz d’Avignon (“Jazz Trampoline”) with the group Hiatus. This was the starting point for a series of appearances, recordings and work with T. Madiot, M. Collignon, B. Santacruz, D. Fournier, S. Agnel, F. Lowe, J.-M. Padovani, B. Phillips, L. Sclavis, C.Tchamitchian…
Today he makes solo appearances, plays in Denis Fournier’s trio and his own quartet, plus J.-P. Jullian’s sextet and octet…
