Jaboticaba

Jaboticaba was born from the encounter between Julien and Virginie, while looking for a place to stay in Salazie - the "good refuge" in Malagasy.
This takes place in the middle of the Réunion island, the Austral Summer is about to start as 2005 is nearing its end.
Quickly, lyrics are exchanged and melodies suggested. Virginie, funky singer, and Julien the guitar player... Get in tune.

After 6 months of flat sharing, the basis of a repertoire is created. Unexpected and intense composing sessions start in the quiet intimacy of a wooden cabin, in the wet midst of giant plants and the surrounding forest. Laurent, drummer, joins to add up his rhythmic touch.
