Decaphonik

After having toured like marathoners, K2R Riddim have taken a new step in the writing of their sound history by inviting the best of the best for this one : Tyrone Downie on engineering (former keyboardist on the Wailers) and Timour Cardenas at the helm. The result is a more accomplished record where reggae influences bond with blues, soul or soukouss for the best of a warm, open and energetic music. The trademark K2R is blatant here : a wide Jamaican basis (ska, rocksteady, ragga) where finely arranges instrumentals and varied vocals combine. This third album allowed the atypical formation to impose their musical style and approach on the French scene, far beyond the labelling as "French reggae" or "festive band".
